"You are moving to New York City, tomorrow. You will love it."
E-TURBO-NEWS, July 23, 2001

"You are being relocated to New York City. You are booked on the next flight," Thomas, the bold and brash CEO of a major dot.com company told Kathy, his Vice President for Marketing.

"But where will I stay while looking for a coop? I refuse to stay in a hotel for weeks..or months!" replied Kathy. "I just won't do it."

Fortunately, Anthony, the chief problem solver for the company's Travel Department had anticipated this challenge and reserved space for "Ms. Kathy" at The Marmara Manhattan, a luxury extended-stay hotel, located on Manhattan's Upper East Side.

Located at 301 East 94th Street (near 2nd Avenue), the Marmara Manhattan is a low profile property with high profile interior design and amenities.

The neighborhood is usually identified as residential, and that is exactly what an executive wants - when she is being "relocated." The thought of being plunged into the heart of New York tourism, for more than a few days, can make even the most dedicated executive quit the job.

The Marmara Manhattan provides the right solution to a potentially difficult situation by having a great location. Whether Kathy is traveling by limo, taxi, public transportation, or (her preference) walking from place to place, the Marmara Manhattan makes it all convenient. With a one block walk Kathy will find terrific bagels, a dry cleaners and casual dining restaurants. Nearby are New York's famous museums, private schools, houses of worship, fabulous parks, shopping and excellent health-care facilities such as Mt. Sinai and Doctor's Hospital. She will also be within walking distance of New York City's flamboyant Mayor, Rudolph Guillianni.

You would never know that it is not a New York apartment building. >From the street you see a 32 story tower with the façade, doorman and lobby that looks like any other New York City residential building. Going up in the elevator, you still don't know that you are in a "hotel." The ambiance is very quiet, very low-key, very residential.

The surprise happens when you enter one of the 102 custom decorated studio, one, two or three bedroom suites that you realize that this is not just another property, but a wonderful find in Manhattan. With no more than five suites per floor, Kathy will be assured of her privacy and a sense of security.

The suites are beautifully designed. The most successful executive will not be uncomfortable in these temporary quarters. Kathy will be impressed with contemporary designed furniture, the clean and modern kitchen with full-size appliances fully equipped for cooking, serving and dining. The floors in the kitchen and bathrooms are marble. The bathrooms are equipped with hairdryer and scales. In the two and three bedroom suites the bathrooms have Jacuzzi-equipped baths and tucked away in a small pantry area is a personal size washer and dryer. There are lots of closets, an in-room safe, plus telephone lines, modem for computers and a fax machine.

The copious amenities also include AM/FM cassette/ CD stereo, cordless telephones in each room, individual temperature controls, large double-pane sliding windows, a complimentary gourmet welcome basket, an exercise room and complimentary health club privileges. There is also daily housekeeping, valet delivery and pick up for laundry and dry cleaning, plus a 24-hour doorman and concierge.

The good news is that Kathy will be at the Marmara Manhattan for at least one month (the minimum stay for this property). Many of the suites are rented for the year by corporations who use the space for VIPs coming to Manhattan and want lots of privacy andseclusion.

A very tastefully furnished studio apartment is available for $4500 per month. The one-bedroom apartments range from $5500 - $7750 per month. The two-bedrooms range from $8,600 - $12,000 and three-bedroom apartments are rented at $16,000 to $19,000 per month. Rates for annual leases are available by contacting the Sales Office.

Given the current costs of rentals in New York City, these rates are a bargain

Unlike most hotels and many apartments in New York City, the Marmara Manhattan welcomes "most" pets. Fortunately, Kathy is not into anything more exotic than her Persian cat, so she will not have to leave Sam behind.

Another unusual aspect of the Marmara Manhattan is that the owners are so proud of their properties that they are available for discussion. The Marmara, Inc., is a subsidiary of KiSKA, an international construction, development, hospitality and management group with over a decade of experience with extended stay hotels. You can find their other properties in Istanbul, Bodrun, Camlica and Suadiye in Turkey.

Kathy will love this place. In fact, she may be so delighted, that she will delay contacting a broker to find permanent space. Why bother with looking, buying, decorating, maintaining, etc. when you have the Marmara Manhattan? This is also excellent space to rent if you are between apartments and/or marriages/ divorces.

"New Extended Stay Players Make Way Into NYC-- The Marmara is most assuredly luxury accommodations."
Hotel Business, Nov. 8, 1999

"The Marmara is an entirely different beast in the Manhattan market, one which seems to fit in with the upscale accommodations available around town. The handsome mahogany paneled lobby, shining marble floors and peaceful Japanese courtyard garden easily give The Marmara an air of quiet sophistication, not to mention its consoling proximity to renowned museums, fine restaurants, exclusive boutiques, private schools and manicured parks of the Upper East Side."
